B2Brouter e-Business Solutions: Freemium model for e-Invoicing

In recent years, there has been a significant shift in the game around electronic invoicing. Legislation mandating the use of e-invoicing in B2G transactions as well as the pandemic-induced digitalisation has pushed an increasing number of organisations to change their document flow from paper to digital formats to optimise processes in the supply chain. This has led to a growing demand for solutions enabling onboarding of partners worldwide, exchanging the whole set of messages in the supply chain (order-tocash/ procure-to-pay), and guaranteeing legal compliance, project management, and local support.
“It has come to the point where e-invoicing has become a commodity and no longer a proprietary solution. This space is going to be a more open landscape with companies integrating and exchanging documents more than ever before,” says Oriol Bausà, CEO of B2Brouter.
Founded in 2003, B2Brouter offers a simple and affordable solution for sending and receiving electronic documents to private and public networks quickly and reliably. Their e-business solutions manage electronic documents, such as electronic invoices issuance, to all types of companies and professionals worldwide.
B2Brouter online platform is capable of transforming, validating, electronically signing, and processing all types of electronic documents. The company can connect with other systems using multiple channels for sending and receiving documents—from public channels (PEPPOL, FACe, SDI, Mercurius, Chorus Pro, etc.) to integrations with ERP systems through their B2Bconnector.
Steering a customercentric approach to providing services, our freemium model is designed and directed, focusing on customizability and flexibility
B2Brouter is based on national and international standards to manage the electronic exchange of documents and establish electronic relations with companies of any type, sector, and geographical location.
“Steering a customer-centric approach to providing services, our freemium model is designed and directed, focusing on customizability and flexibility,” says Bausà. The models consist of a portal to grasp the benefits of the automated processes without the limitations on the number of invoices free of payment. The API model is for the big suppliers providing them with tools they can provide their suppliers with, helping them to send invoices everywhere, overcoming the cross-border invoicing challenges.
The company’s client-partnership stories best exemplifies the effectiveness of their robust capabilities. The company partnered with Cooltra, a leading provider of sustainable 2-wheel mobility solutions in Europe, helping them manage their invoices. The company has nearly 400 workers and a network of about 120 partner garages between Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and Austria, which made it hard for them to manage all the invoices received from all the garages. For the fleet maintenance and repair services received, Cooltra received invoices every day in all kinds of formats and through different channels. Determined to find a competitive and decisive solution, they contacted B2Brouter. They wanted to have only one channel to receive the invoices, set a standard format, and enter the e-invoice world, getting rid of the traditional method.
After several months of analysis, B2Brouter’s experts solved all their needs and helped integrate the B2Brouter portal with their internal ERP called Openbravo. Deploying the new system started showing results and improvements in the daily management tasks with the additional leeway of easily accessing the data to analyse and audit all the work done by its external garages.
Having served a diverse clientele successfully, the company is expanding the features of their solutions. “We are working on building both our private and public connections. We would like to expand globally and cover other private networks too that allow our clients to connect with their suppliers or customers. We are also working on our tax reporting invoices country by country due to the lack of a standardised tax invoicing in place for every country,” concludes Bausà.
